Louisiana woman accused of stealing more than $12K in pills from pharmacy where she worked

A woman suspected of stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of prescription pills from the business where she worked has been arrested.

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office reported T. Thomas, 39, of Franklin, was taken into custody on April 30 in connection with an investigation that started on April 18.

Deputies said Thomas is accused of stealing more than $12,000 worth of oxycodone and hydrocodone pills from a pharmacy in Bayou Vista over the past year.

She was booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on a charge of theft and was later transferred to another jail.
