The co-owner of a Maryville pharmacy accused of stealing oxycodone from the business has agreed to plead guilty to the thefts.

Randall Scott Jenkins, identified in a plea agreement on file in Knoxville’s U.S. District Court as the co-owner of City Drug Co. since 2002, has signed an agreement to plead guilty to two counts of stealing oxycodone and one count of unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.

Jenkins, who has been a licensed pharmacist for about three decades, was captured on the pharmacy’s surveillance system on two dates in April taking a bottle of 100 oxycodone tablets from the pharmacy’s controlled substances vault, the agreement states.

It goes on to say Jenkins is addicted to oxycodone, and took the pills “to satisfy his own addiction.” The pills were valued at less than $5,000.

Authorities executed a federal search warrant at Jenkins’ home May 21 and found a label-less prescription pill bottle containing hydrocodone, two bottles of oxycodone hidden under clothing in the master bedroom and 19 firearms and ammunition, the agreement states.

Jenkins is also agreeing to pay restitution to City Drug Co., located at 1612 E. Lamar Alexander Parkway, and to permanently surrender his pharmacy license to the state pharmacy board. He will also give up the firearms seized in the case, the agreement states.

The case was filed July 6. The plea agreement Jenkins signed was filed Monday.

A plea hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. July 19 before Chief District Judge Thomas Varlan.
