A local teacher has been arrested after allegedly stealing students’ medication from an area school.
According to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, on October 24, it was discovered that someone had gotten into a locked medicine cabinet inside the medical office at Bozeman Learning Center, and took various medicines prescribed to students at the school. The locks to the area were changed and a report was filed with the BCSO.
On November 4, the medicine cabinet was entered again and more medicines were taken. It was determined this incident happened after normal school hours.
On November 8, information was obtained that identified 38-year-old Corey D. Gaddy, a teacher at the school, as a suspect. Gaddy was arrested yesterday and booked into the Bay County Jail.
Gaddy is being charged with two counts of Theft of a Controlled Substance with are felony charges.
