A nurse in Madison County is facing multiple charges for allegedly stealing pain medicine from her patients.

According to our partners at The Herald Bulletin, J. Lewellyn was working at a nursing home in Anderson when patients started complaining they weren’t getting their pills from her.

That’s when the staff noticed several oxycodone pills were missing.

When confronted, police say Lewellyn actually pulled one out of her pocket. She denies any wrongdoing, instead blaming it on “poor charting.”

She no longer works at the facility.
