The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday charged a 45-year-old Palm Beach woman with two counts of drug trafficking, grand theft and transportation of drug paraphernalia after she stole drugs from her employer to sell to buy crack cocaine, a police report said.

A. Gillespie fraudulently ordered at least $10,000 worth of narcotics on behalf of P&M Pharmacy in Lake Worth, where she has worked as a pharmacy technician since October, the report said.

When the drugs were delivered, Gillespie manipulated the inventory system to show the drugs — which included Suboxone, alprazolam and codeine — were not received, then put them in her bag and exited the store, the report said.

Deputies, who witnessed the crimes on video surveillance, apprehended Gillespie when she walked to the pharmacy parking lot to meet her boyfriend, Erol Decordova Willis of Lake Worth, the report said.

Deputies took both Gillespie and Willis into custody for questioning, at which time Gillespie told them she was addicted to crack cocaine and intended to sell the drugs for $700 to buy more crack, the report said.

Deputies charged Gillespie Tuesday with felony trafficking, intent to sell synthetic narcotics, transportation of drug paraphernalia and grand theft. She is being held at Palm Beach Jail on a total bond of $11,000.

Public records show Willis was found guilty in 2019 of an open container, in 2010 of cocaine possession, and in 2007 of battery and peitit theft.

Willis was charged Tuesday with felony possession of Xanax without a prescription, intent to manufacture or deliver drugs and driving on a suspended license. His arrest report is not yet available, but he is being held at Palm Beach County Jail on a total bond of $9,000.
