PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — 33-year-old Bridget Carr was arrested for prescription fraud on Saturday after an investigation was done by the Pasco Sheriff’s Vice and Narcotics Unit.
Carr was an office manager under Dr. Jose Turro, who worked at the doctor’s office located at 5019 Mile Stretch Drive in Holiday.
It was discovered that Carr would request money for co-pay from patients for forged prescriptions, pocketing the money herself. The doctor had no knowledge of her writing prescriptions for patients that were unauthorized.
She is facing 57 counts of forging and six counts of getting fraudulent prescriptions. She has been booked into the Land O’ Lakes Detention Center under a bond for $315,000.
