When reading the article below, you have to wonder how she got access to all those drugs? Based on the fact that she is a nurse and worked at a hospital, an easy assumption was that she diverted the drugs from the hospital and patients that she was caring for. We will have to see if this story changes and she gets charged with diversion of drugs also. After all, she was in possession of those drugs WHILE she was working her shift!

Plainview, NY – December 31, 2016 – Second Squad detectives report the details of an arrest for grand larceny that occurred in Plainview on Thursday, 12/29/16 at 7:00 A.M.
According to detectives, Renee Caporale, 39, of Oakdale, while employed as a nurse at Plainview Hospital located at 888 Old Country Rd., removed credit cards from a male patient’s wallet, which was in the closet of his hospital room. The defendant then used these cards to make several purchases. The victim received fraud alerts from the credit card companies. The defendant was identified through video surveillance.
Second Squad detectives arrested Caporale on Friday, 12/30/16 at Plainview Hospital. At the time of her arrest, the defendant was found to be in possession of Cocaine, Oxycodone and Suboxone. She is being charged with two counts of Grand Larceny 4th Degree, Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 7th Degree, and will be arraigned on Saturday, 12/31/16 in First District Court, Hempstead.
