TABOR CITY, N.C. – A Columbus County Elementary School Teacher faces charges after authorities say she stole prescription medication at school.
Jamie Ford, 53, faces five drug related charges including larceny of medication.
Authorities say detectives with the Vice and Narcotics Unit began an investigation into theft of medication at Tabor City Elementary School and determined it was being taken by a staff member.
They say they received permission to search her vehicle and found medication belonging to another teacher.
Ford was arrested on campus Friday. She was booked into the Columbus County detention center on a $50,000 bond.
