The administrator of Florida Hospital Oceanside in Ormond Beach was arrested this week on charges of prescription drug fraud.
H. Perch was arrested Tuesday and charged with obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, trafficking between 14 to 28 grams of hydrocodone and concealing information to obtain prescription of a controlled substance, records show.
Perch, 50, was booked shortly before 8:30 a.m. Tuesday into the Volusia County Branch Jail on $10,000 bail, which he posted shortly after 11 a.m., according to records.
Authorities began investigating the case in July 2014 after a pharmacist alerted police to possible prescription fraud, according to a Volusia County sheriff’s affidavit.
