A Walgreens employee was arrested Wednesday for allegedly stealing prescription pads and writing herself prescriptions for Percocet.
Deane Burkhart, 45, of Wallingford reportedly received 174 pills during several fraudelent transactions in which she’d forged the name of a local physician, Hamden police said.
Burkhart, an employee of the Hamden Walgreens at 2505 Whitney Ave., turned herself in to police. She was charged with seven counts of illegally obtaining prescription drugs, seven counts of second-degree forgery and seven counts of sixth-degree larceny.
She is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Meriden on March 22.
