A nurse in South Carolina is accused of stealing 40 hydrocodone pills and at least one Tylenol with codeine pill, according to officials. J. M. Hawkins, 61, of Cayce, is charged with theft of a controlled substance.The South Carolina Department of Corrections said Hawkins was a nurse at the Broad River Correctional Institution, and that is where she stole the medication. An arrest warrant said Hawkins admitted to taking the pills for personal use at home and took the Tylenol codeine pill while on duty. She is no longer with the South Carolina Department of Corrections.
