Osage, Iowa. – A nurse who allegedly stole drugs from her patients in Osage, St. Ansgar and Mason City has pleaded guilty to a few of the charges.

Court documents state that 33-year-old Keri Lee Martinez of Mason City pleaded guilty to two counts of prohibited acts involving a controlled substance. She entered her plea on Tuesday in Mitchell County District Court with a sentencing date not yet set.

Martinez was arrested back in January after allegedly stealing drugs from patients from the Good Samaritan in St. Ansgar and the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Martinez plans to plead not guilty to one count of prohibited acts involving a controlled substance. She’s been accused of stealing drugs from a resident while she was working at the IOOF home in Mason City.

Martinez will head to trial for that charge on June 13th in Cerro Gordo County District Court.
