STANLEY, N.D. – A registered nurse has admitted to stealing pharmaceuticals from an assisted living home in Stanley.
Fifty-one-year-old Karen Evans pleaded guilty Thursday to two counts of acquiring a controlled substance by misrepresentation, according to the district court website.
Eight other counts were thrown out.
Prosecutors had accused Evans of stealing Percocet tablets from the Bethel Home between May and August of 2016.
They say she logged out the pills but did not give them to residents.
Evans will serve three years of supervised probation and have to pay roughly $3,500 in fines and fees.
The state deferred imposition of her sentence.
