HONESDALE — A Honesdale woman pleaded guilty today to stealing fentanyl from the surgical office where she worked.
Karen Feldner, 56, entered the guilty plea in Wayne County Court to one felony count of theft of fentanyl, a powerful opioid, along with a related misdemeanor charge.
She faces up to eight years in prison.
County detectives arrested Feldner earlier this year and accused her of stealing almost 2,000 vials of fentanyl from the Mountain Laurel Surgery Center in Honesdale, where she worked as director of nursing from November 2015 until last year.
Her sentencing is set for Oct. 19.
