According to authorities, a UPS employee in San Antonio was arrested after being involved in the theft of a camera opening package and prescription drugs.
C. R. Casillas, 24, was charged with diversion of controlled substances by registrants, dispensers and other specific individuals. This is a record of the Bexar County Prison show.
The arrest warrant states that Casillas was working for a UPS at a distribution center on the northeastern side. On October 22, a UPS security supervisor contacted the US Drug Enforcement Department’s San Antonio office and said the affidavit was seen in a video of Casillas opening the package and stealing a prescription.
According to investigators, DEA agents interviewed on October 25 when Casillas allowed Casillas to steal regulated substances for his use and sell them to others. A DEA agent searched his phone and found a text message containing information about drug sales.
The affidavit states that he resigned from the UPS shortly thereafter.
DEA learned that from August to October Casillas reportedly stole at least seven packages sent to patients by Davila CD Pharmacy.
The package contained 142 oxycodone tablets, 70 alprazolam tablets, 140 lorazepam tablets, 56 diazepam tablets, and 56 Tylenol and codeine tablets.
According to prison records, Casillas was arrested on Monday afternoon. His deposit is set at $ 18,000.
