A former Buffalo area pharmacist was ordered to pay nearly $8,000 in restitution to Rite Aid and sentenced to two years probation.
Patrick McQuade, of North Tonawanda, formerly worked for Rite Aid and Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, according to U.S. Attorney James Kennedy.
McQuade, while working at Rite Aid between 2015 and 2017, was found through an internal investigation to have created fake patient profiles and stolen prescription pills for personal use, Kennedy said.
The restitution amount due is $7,793.78 and McQuade is prohibited from working as a pharmacist during his probation.
