DANBURY, CT — The license of a city nurse was suspended by the state’s Board of Examiners for Nursing, according to the Connecticut I-Health team. The LPN license of Jennifer Ressa was suspended after the state Department of Public Health received a report that Ressa had taken Oxycodone from her employer.
The a report from the state Department of Consumer Protection said that while working at Geer Village in Canaan, Ressa took the drugs while working as a nurse. She also admitted to “self-medicating” with alcohol and was sentenced for drunk driving.
She entered outpatient therapy but has not provided state officials with documents proving her sobriety, the report says.
