ELLSWORTH — An employee at Seaport Village Healthcare was charged last week with stealing drugs from the facility.
Joleen Beninati, 39, of Ellsworth was summoned on a charge of theft of drugs (Class C). Police said the stolen drugs included hydrocodone and oxycodone and hydromorphone. All three drugs are opioid painkillers.
Police received a couple of reports of thefts of medication at the facility, and the second complaint was from management who “reported an employee confessed to stealing drugs.”
