A Canastota woman faces numerous charges after police said she stole drugs from the Kinney Drugs pharmacy in Cazenovia, where she was employed.
S. J. Snyder, 32, of Canastota faces several counts of petit larceny and several counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and a felony charge of first-degree falsifying business records in connection with the theft of these substances, according to court papers filed in Cazenova Village Court.
The Kinney Drugs is at 41 Albany St. in Cazenovia.
Cazenovia police said in the felony complaint filed in court that the falsifying business records charge stems from attempts to conceal the theft.
Snyder is charged with taking drugs from the pharmacy on Nov. 29, Dec. 5., Dec. 12, Jan. 24, Jan. 20 and Feb. 1, according to the felony complaint.
The substances taken were gabapentin, buprenorphine and Lyrica tablets, according to the papers.
Madison County Sheriff’s deputies also charged Snyder on unrelated charges.
She faces three counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and three counts of petit larceny after deputies said she used a stolen credit/debit card to withdraw cash on three occasions in January from an ATM.
