A medical employee accused of stealing a doctor’s script pad has been arrested on charges of prescription fraud.
According to a post on the Jourdanton Police Department’s Facebook page, A. Rosas Alvarez was working as a medical office specialist when she reportedly took the pad and used patient information to obtain the drug Tramadol.
Investigators believe she was able to get about 3,000 pills. She was picked up in Atascosa County with by Jourdanton officers, with the help of the Live Oak Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Alvarez faces several charges.
