ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) —
A registered nurse with Asheville’s Mission Hospital is charged with embezzlement of a controlled substance.
The Buncombe County Anti-Crime Task Force said 38-year-old Carla Ferrigno is charged with embezzling hundreds of vials of pain medications and sedatives from the hospital where she worked.
Ferrigno is accused of taking 539 vials of Fentanyl, 179 vials of Midazolam and 69 vials of Hydromorphone, according to warrants.
Ferrigno was due in court Thursday for a first appearance.
