MINOT, N.D. – A registered nurse faces a series of felony charges on accusations she stole pharmaceuticals from an assisted living home in Stanley.

State prosecutors have accused 51-year-old Karen Evans of stealing 13 Percocet tablets from the Bethel Home in Stanley, where she works as a nurse.

Prosecutors say that between May and August of 2016, Evans logged out the pills but did not administer them to the residents.

Percocet is a popular brand name for a pain reliever made up of acetaminophen and oxycodone.

Evans is charged with ten counts of acquiring a controlled substance by misrepresentation, and faces up to five years on each charge.

She is out on bail and will appear for her arraignment Feb. 9.
