The administrator said he checked the medication list for three residents and discovered that the medications were never given to the patients from Dec. 15 to 27. The deputy spoke to the three residents who said they had not receive their medications. In addition, three nurses said Lopez had approached them and asked to pass out medications on their behalf.
All of the medications in question were Hydrocodone-acetaminophen, a Schedule II controlled substance.
Lopez was taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $5,000.
