BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) – A 34 year old West Seneca man is going to prison for 9 years after being convicted on drug charges.
Brandon Coburn is a licensed nurse practitioner who could legally write out prescriptions. The U.S. Attorney claims Coburn provided 253 prescriptions for fentanyl, oxycodone, oxymorphone and amphetamine’s for nine co-defendants over a two year period. Authorities say none of those drugs were used for legitimate medical purposes and instead were filled by the co-defendants and sold on the streets in and around the Buffalo area.
To date, 8 of the 10 people charged in this case have been convicted after an investigation by the DEA.
Coburn was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Richard Arcara.
