ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – An Orange County dispatcher was arrested last week after a nearly yearlong investigation into an alleged scheme to illegally acquire prescription painkillers.

Jojilda Disla, who had been a 911 dispatcher for nine years, is currently suspended without pay as the investigation continues.

Disla is accused of working with a pharmacy technician to write and fill fraudulent prescriptions for Percocet.

The prescriptions were filled at different Walgreens, CVS, Costco and Walmart pharmacies, investigators said.

A wary Walgreens pharmacist tipped off police when he believed one of the prescriptions brought in by Disla was suspect.

The prescriptions were written from the pad of an Ocoee dentist, who said he’d never written them and said his signature had been forged.

Disla was charged with uttering a forgery and trafficking prescription pills.
