NEWKIRK — A warrant is issued for Devin Nicole Walker, 26, Ponca City, by the Kay County District Court. Walker was charged on Dec. 29 with a felony count of larceny of morphine. Ponca City police report Walker is accused of stealing morphine from the Walmart pharmacy where she was employed. Police report that Walmart security has Walker on video in possession of a morphine prescription filled by a store pharmacist on Sept. 1. The prescription contained 60 oral tablets. Walker reportedly verified the prescription, took the prescription to the west side of the pharmacy counter, puts her hand in the bag and pulls out an item. Police report she is then recorded pouring something into her left hand and then places her hand in her shirt. Walker then reportedly places a pill bottle back in the bag, walks to the front of the counter and hangs the bag on the top left side of the bag rack. At 6:23 p.m. on the video, Walker reportedly can be seen pulling the bag off the rack. At 6:36 she reportedly walks into the pharmacist restroom and closes the door. At 6:41 she is reportedly captured on video exiting the restroom with a small red clutch like purse and leaves the pharmacy. Police report the contents taken from the pharmacy totaled $215.38. Walmart security reports that on Sept. 14 Walker went to the deli on her break at 11:52 a.m. selected $4.98 worth of food and did not pay for it. Bond for Walker is endorsed at $10,000. Anyone with information on Walker’s location is urged to call police.
