A Canandaigua woman is accused of stealing drug prescriptions for painkillers while working at a Rochester eye doctor’s office.

S. Lambert, 33, of Canandaigua, is charged with obtaining controlled substances by fraud.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Lambert worked at Cornerstone Eye Associates from January 2018 to February 2019. During that time, she had access to an electronic prescription program where doctors wrote prescriptions.

Investigators say Lambert logged onto the system using a doctor and filled out fake prescriptions for drugs including Vicodin, Hydrocodone, and Oxycodone for herself and others.

During that time, prosecutors said Lambert filed 73 fake prescriptions totaling 5,048 pills.

Lambert now faces up to four years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted on charges.
