A resident of Red Lion in York County is accused of stealing Xanax from the pharmacy where she works and selling them from her home, and two alleged accomplices have also been arrested.
B. A. Trout, 47, is charged with delivery of a controlled substance and conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, the York County District Attorney’s Office said on Monday.
K. E. Jackson, 23, of Red Lion, is charged with delivery of a controlled substance. E. Walkins, 21, of York, is charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal attempt to possess with the intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Police allege that, while working as a pharmacy technician at Lion Pharmacy, Trout was responsible for ordering and overseeing the inventory of some prescription pills. She is accused of stealing pills over the past 18 months and selling them to Jackson and Walkins.
According to the district attorney’s office, an agent of the York County Drug Task Force in October arranged to buy 100 Xanax pills from Jackson, who then was followed to Trout’s home.
Xanax is a sedative commonly prescribed to treat anxiety.
