BURLINGTON — Some residents at Pine Brook Pointe, 1001 S Pine Street, did not receive their proper medication after an employee was allegedly stealing them, according to a criminal complaint.

Holly A. Moser, 21, of Burlington, has been charged with theft, possession of narcotic drugs and negligent abuse.

According to the criminal complaint:

On several dates between January 19 to 31, while working at Pine Brook Pointe, Moser took medication from her work instead of distributing them to patients in her care.

Law enforcement believe she took several different kinds of medications from the facility including Hydro/APAP, Tramadol, Ferrous Sulfate, Levetiracetam, Lorazepam, Furosemide and Cranberry.

Moser admitted to officers that she took the pills from her cart and did not give the medications to the patients.

“Patients were not given their prescribed medications due to the defendant’s actions,” the complaint states.

At Moser’s home in the 200 block of Chapel Terrace, officers found hydrocodone which she did not have a prescription for.

Moser has been released on a $2,000 signature bond and is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on Nov. 8.
