A pharmacist for a suburban West Palm Beach drug store is accused of stealing controlled substances, including oxycodone, from the business, according to an arrest report.

Michelle Renae Green, 46, of Palm Beach Gardens is facing five counts of trafficking oxycodone and four counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. She was released from the Palm Beach County Jail after posting a $32,000 bond.

Green was allegedly caught on surveillance-camera video stealing drugs from a safe inside the Charles Pharmacy at Okeechobee Boulevard and Haverhill Road.

When two pharmacists approached Green on Monday about the thefts, she allegedly confessed and said she stole the drugs to give to her mother who was in pain, the report said.

Green was placed under arrest by members of the Multi-Agency Diversion Task Force of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office outside the rear exit to Charles Pharmacy. Agents found more than 200 tablets of various drugs, including oxycodone and Percocet, in Green’s possession, the report said.
